that I have won here,” stated Kent
Farrington. “The Rolex Grand Slam is
great for the sport and I am excited to
be part of it again.”
The equestrian sport elite travelled to
the CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ in
Calgary, Canada for the third Major of
the year 2019. This time, that legendary
place where Scott Brash walked
off with the Grand Slam title in 2015,
became the setting for another sensational
outcome. Beezie Madden (USA)
and her exceptional horse, Darry Lou,
jumped to victory in the Major. As
such, the American rider became the
first female contender for the Rolex
Grand Slam of Show Jumping – “an
amazing feeling”, as Beezie Madden
exclaimed: “Spruce Meadows is such
an amazing place and it really is an
honour to ride here. Any win is fantastic,
but I have to say, this one is pretty
special.”
