Trophy

The Rolex Grand Slam trophy, a cup made of sterling silver with two curved handles, was created by the London jewellers, Garrard, that was established in 1735.

It stands on a silver base, a delicate ribbed spiral stem curves around the middle section moving up towards a tulip shaped vessel.

The trophy is 45 centimetres in height and weighs two kilogrammes. The Rolex Grand Slam logo was engraved on the front by hand. It was designed by the royal jewellery designer, Corinna Pike, Heritage Director at Garrard.

Her aim was to create a curved form inspired by nature to achieve a superbly harmonious design.

Garrard is the oldest jewellery company in the world. Garrard attained world fame as the court jeweller, among others the company was responsible for manufacturing and caring for the English crown jewels.

The company has not only made ceremonial regalia and presentation silverware for governments and important international organisations, but also sporting trophies for exclusive, world-class events – and now also for the Rolex Grand Slam.
