The Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping represents the pinnacle of equestrian sport, offering an unparalleled test of skill, dedication, and excellence for the world’s most elite riders and horses. Comprising four of the most prestigious events in the show jumping calendar – The Dutch Masters, the CHIO Aachen, the CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ Tournament, and the CHI Geneva – the Rolex Grand Slam unites these legendary venues in a celebration of tradition, prestige, and sporting achievement.

Established in 2013, the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping originally featured just three Majors, namely the CHIO Aachen, the CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ Tournament, and the CHI Geneva. In 2018, The Dutch Masters was added, further enhancing the initiative. Each event stands as a hallmark of excellence, boasting world-class facilities, exceptional competition, and significant prize money. The Rolex Grand Slam challenges riders across both indoor [The Dutch Masters and the CHI Geneva] and outdoor [the CHIO Aachen and the CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ Tournament] arenas, demanding versatility and mastery across different conditions and settings.

Collectively known as the Rolex Majors, these four events are endowed with over €5 million euros in total. The ultimate achievement – the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping – is awarded to any rider who wins three consecutive Majors, across one or two calendar years. In achieving this spectacular prize, the rider will earn an additional €1 million euro bonus on top of the substantial prize money on offer for winning the Rolex Grand Prix. Should a rider continue their streak by securing a fourth Major victory in succession, they receive a further €1 million euro bonus. The ability to claim the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping on different horses adds to the ongoing narrative of this extraordinary challenge, solidifying its status as one of the most prestigious and thrilling contests in international sport.

The Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping stands as the first global initiative to reward riders who achieve an extraordinary level of success across the sport’s most revered competitions. To date, only one rider has accomplished the remarkable feat of winning the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping; Scott Brash. In an extraordinary display of consistent talent, Brash secured his place in history by claiming three consecutive Majors aboard his legendary partner, Hello Sanctos. His triumph began at the CHI Geneva in 2014, and was followed by consecutive victories at the CHIO Aachen and the CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ Tournament in 2015. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Brash’s historic achievement. The magnitude of his success is underscored by the fact that no rider has since replicated it – despite valiant efforts from top contenders such as McLain Ward and Rolex Testimonee Daniel Deusser, who, amongst other greats of the sport, have achieved multiple Major wins in their careers.

The Rolex Grand Slam trophy, that has been exclusively lifted in celebration by Brash, was crafted by Garrard, a jeweller renowned for its creation of royal regalia and prestigious sporting trophies. Made of sterling silver, the trophy stands 45cm tall, weighs 2kg, and features a hand-engraved Rolex Grand Slam logo by Garrard’s Heritage Director, Corinna Pike. As the twelfth year of the Rolex Grand Slam begins in March with The Dutch Masters, the equestrian world eagerly anticipates the next contender to challenge for this distinguished accolade, and waits in anticipation as to whether 2025 will see a second rider receive the revered silver tulip-shaped trophy.
